how it works

for the couple

the perfect gift wedding registry allows you to create your very own unique online gift registry. We have all the major department store brands plus many more beautiful gifts. The main difference is that you and your guests can see what they are buying and they can buy online.

choosing gifts - You and your partner can create and manage your own list on-line or drop into our shop to view further selections. If there is something you would like that we don't have we are more than happy to source the items for you and allow you to choose items you have seen elsewhere. The list you choose can be as unique and personal as you would like to make it. (There is no additional charge to you for this service, however, RRP's of gifts sourced from other existing retailers will incur a 10% surcharge to help cover administration and credit card costs. Please note items chosen from independant stores/ suppliers outside our core item selections may have extended delivery times outside our control - please refer to our terms and conditions).

getting started - To set up your list it is very easy. On the home page select 'create a new registry' fill in your names, contact details and wedding details. Once these details are filled in our products page comes up. These are broken into the rooms of the house and various categories within. You then click on the item you want and then choose the quantity and colour where applicable and your list is started. You can log on to your site and add or delete gifts as you choose. Please note gifts already purchased by a guest can not be deleted after it has been purchased.

If this all seems like too much work - we can create the list for you.

letting guests know - We will provide you with cards to post with your invitations that explains to guests how to access your gift registry site should they like to purchase you a gift.

viewing your gift list - Guests and couples can view the list at anytime to see what is still available on your gift list site. We will keep your site up until just after your wedding day.

for the guest

accessing your site - Guests can view your gift selections directly from our website at any time once your site has been created. All guests need to do is click on 'find registry' and enter the surname of either the bride or groom and the month of the wedding. Your personalised list including images is then displayed for guests to view.

purchasing a gift - Guests can purchase one, or many of the suggested gifts online using three convenient options or they can visit us in store, 180 Sydney Road, Fairlight NSW. Alternatively they can telephone or email to place an order -

We take full payment at the time of order by Visa or Mastercard using Paypal, a well known trusted secure encrypted payment system. We also accept either a Money Order made payable to The Perfect Gift, a bank cheque, a personal cheque or electronic funds deposit into our account. It's that simple! Once a gift is purchased we list the item as sold so it cannot be selected again. If you choose to cancel your gift once it has been processed, we will refund you (within seven days) for the purchase, however the administration and handling fee of $7.95 will not be refunded.

confirmation - A Tax Invoice is sent by email once selections have been processed confirming each order and payment.

cards - Guests also have the option of buying a card online and can include a personalised message on the card.

charges

There is NO charge to the bride and groom.

All gifts will be charged to guests at recommended retail prices plus a $7.95 handling fee (for Sydney Metropolitan area only, areas outside of this will be subject to special conditions).

Selected items, outside our core of gifts, chosen by the bride and groom may have incurred a merchant charge.

In the event of a wedding cancellation, written notification is required. 10% of total amount paid by gustes will be charged back to the bride and groom. A full refund will be honoured to guests who have purchased gifts already.

gift delivery

All gifts purchased by guests will be wrapped and delivered to the couple at a time specified by them.

We suggest couples keep the list open until the day of their wedding and receive gifts on return from their honeymoon. Please allow 3-4 weeks delivery time from final purchase date.

A list with each gift and purchaser's name will be sent to you the week after your wedding.

buy back policy

Our buy back policy allows all couples the option of purchaing gifts from the site that were not chosen by your guests at a discount of 20%. Please note electrical items have a 10% discount only. This discount is only applicable on gifts selected from our gift gallery, not additional items sourced and is valid for 3 months.
